Sometimes I would really like to jam with others with my cvp307.
Therefor I would like to have a transportable "light version" of my cvp. It should have:

The wonderful GH3 keyboard of the cvp307
All the panelvoices incl. organflutes of the CVP307 (Tyros)
Registration buttons
Multipads from tyros
voiceeditor from tyros
only 15kg weight
No styles (like a CLP, because I would play together with others)
No sequenzer needed but midi-songplayback for some backingtracks
No speakers because I would play over monitor or PA (probably external speakers like tyros)

So this would be a combination of
Tyros
CVP307
P-250

I had a P250 before my CVP307, but it doesnīt have the organflutes and all the other panelvoices of the tyros or CVP307
The tyros has a toylike keyboard which isnīt good at all, esp. for Grandpiano
And the CVP is too heavy.

So Yamaha, isnīt that a good idea for a new "CVP (CLP)-Light" series? Roland has the RD700SX in this category! Not bad I think...

Hi, Andreas

Perhaps the most similar to what you are looking for is the PF - 1000

http://www.yamaha-europe.com/yamaha_europe/english_master/10_musical_instruments/70_synthesizer/20_stage_pianos/10_stage_pianos/20_pf_series/010_PF_1000/index.html

It weights 30 Kg, but it's the same weight as the P 250.

What I don't know is if it has the voice editor and the multipads of the Tyros.

By the way, What are the Tyros Multipads?
Can you get the same function on the CVP?

Cheers

Thanks Paco,
I know th PF-1000 very well, but it doesnīt have the Organflutes, and the Grandpianovoice is as muddy as in the S90 Synth.
If I had to gig at the moment (which isnīt actually the case yet) I would tend to the Roland RD700SX, which has a better keyboard than the tyros, great organflutes and Grandpiano, but I havenīt tested it yet.
Probably we will get a TyrosII this year. Hopefully at the Musikmesse here in Frankfurt weīll see, what kind of keyboard itīll have.
