It looks like a great product - something I have wanted for a few years. But, the cost! I can't see spending $375 - $495 for my purposes!

No, I don't think I would have paid that much either. I already had the Wifi access point sitting on top of my CVP, so all I had to do was add the Tibbo Serial Device Server (about $120). Although, they would be a good product for a music pro...
The MidiJet boxes are stand-alone and don't require the PC to be one of the devices. Another thing is that (hopefully) they're designed to work in a live (EMF noisy) stage setting - and I would expect them to not miss a note. With my WiFi/midi-over-IP setup, I occasionally have to put up with some "digital constipation".
