Pedal as Mod-Wheel?

Hi all,

Here's another one of my seemingly random questions...

I know the pedals are user definable to some degree- can they be set to function as a mod-wheel, and if so how effectively?

I ran into a link for the Garritan Digital Orchestra, which looks like a very cool and reasonably priced product, but it requires a mod-wheel to input orchestral sounds. (If anyone has experience with that product, I would be curious to hear opinions on appropriate forum...)

I was hoping to still use with a CVP.

Here is how to do it on my CVP-303. It may vary on other models...

1) Press the FUNCTION button

2) From the onscreen menu that comes up, select CONTROLLER

3) Now, change the function of the RIGHT pedal to PITCH BEND

Now, the right pedal will bend the pitch proportionally to how far down you press the pedal.
