I
I've just downloaded some genesis midi files from my PC to the CVP and I needed to change voices affectations (from GS to live! etc...)

Everythings is ok except when I save my work, load it again, and notice that all the changes I made were not saved in my instrument...

Why ?

Thank you for some explanation !

You don't mention which model CVP you have, and I do not own a CVP (I have a Tyros). But, in the Tyros, you must use the "Song Creator" to make permanent changes in the voices of a MIDI file. And you must be at the "top" of the MIDI file as well. And you must press the "Execute" button to put your changes into effect. Fianlly, you must press "Save" and choose a different name for the MIDI so you don't over-write the original. It's sounds complicated and this process has stumped many Yamaha keyboard owners.

Like I said, I don't know if these steps apply to your model. I hope others will let you know.

Thanks a lot for your quick answer.

I've got a CVP-305 and I'll try this ASAP.

Check this thread for a list of the steps required to save changes for the 200 series. Should also work with the 300 series.
