Hi,

I bought my PF1000 in December 2002, and here in the UK it had only just been released.

I think it was released a few months earlier in the U.S..

It is newer than the CVP 201/203/205/207/209 generation, and is EXTREMELY similar to the CVP205. In fact its innards appear to be a slightly "crippled" CVP205, identical except for the guide lights and slightly lower power output, and of course the case is different. The main lacking feature I find with the "stage piano" case is the "music clips" that the full-sized CVPs have. However it is very sturdy once bolted to its legs.

As further evidence of its CVP205 innards, the files that it saves, e.g. music finder files, even say "CVP205" in the header information.

It is of course not as new as the CVP202/4/6/8/10 range.

Anyway, when I got mine it was slightly cheaper than the CVP203, but with all the CVP205 features that I "needed". I am very happy with mine.

Best regards,

Simon Stroud.
