Saving tempo in midi song

With my PF-1000 (CVP-205) I can easily change the tempo of a downloaded midi file on a song that is a constant tempo throughout.

However I cannot find any way to save the new tempo as part of of the song so that when I save it and replay it I hear it at the new tempo. Whenever I try to save it and replay it, the song replays at the old tempo. I'm then forced to manually change it again.

Can anyone kindly tell me how save the tempo? In my manual it says that you can save the tempo in the Song Creator, the Channel tab, under Set UP. I can't seem to get this to work.

You're almost there - you need to make sure the right options are checked on the tab, then press Execute, and then Save.
