hi friends, how are you?

well I come soon to the point.

Do you remember that I wrote telling that there is a clear water type sound on the grand piano voice?

Well I tried to turn off the DSP button but the decaying sound did not disappear at all and not only this...now seems that it is increasing, it has become more clearly loud and somehow is disturbing too much my playing.

It is as if a kind of ROTOR effect is on!

Moreover I have been listening to some demo songs where the grand piano natural voice was the main instrument and believe me the sound was clear without any decay effect and when I tried to play myself on the song itself well, I could easily ear the difference between the prerecorded piano voice and the one who I was producing.

before I could not notice such a huge difference...what is happening now, my CVP became mad?

Another strange thing that has happened is that the screen that appears for few second as soon as you switch on the CVP to subsequently live the place to the main page well had not at all disappeared once so I had to restart the CVP to find everything was normal but this awfull water decay sound.

I am feeling really frustrated...I am againg starting dreaming the old but evergreen Stenway acoustic grand piano, what to do?

I

With utmost respect to all of you

yours

Ravi

Hope you got my e-mail, Ravi - maybe we can get this sorted out. It sounds like it must be a DSP setting or something.

Hello Ravi,

Have you personally tried to re-create the water sounds ... on a different 209? i.e., in a Yamaha showroom?

If the same effect is not happening on a different instrument, you can get your own 209 repaired under warranty.

Regards,

Joe
