I am an adult taking lessons late in life. I made it through the Alfred adult method books one and two with a classic style teacher. I wanted to be able to play more modern songs from fake books (lead sheets) so I started with a different teacher using the Florence Girlamo Piano For Pleasure (a method based on a simplified chord approach). According to the book there are 5 books in the series. I am midway through book 2 and my teacher now says that the series is discontinued.
Two questions:
1) Does anyone know where I can get the remaining books - even if used,
and 2) if not - What do you recommend that I switch too to continue?
Thanks

Thanks for trying. What you found was book 3 of the Alfred set - that is still in print.
Maybe my original note was not clear. What is out of print, and what I am looking for, is the Florence Girlamo Piano For Pleasure #3 and forward.
I apreciate the effort however.

Again. Thanks for trying. The book at that link is really book #2 if you read the description carefully. I have #2 sitting right here on my desk and it is #EL01538.
Thanks all for trying.
I've looked all over the internet for them. Hopefully some where along the line someone will list a used one on Ebay.
Anyone here have a used one they want to sell?
I wonder why a publisher would keep printing books one and two but discontinue three to five???? Does that mean most people give up during number two?

Thanks again. But I'm unsure about those. If you click on the book 4 listing for a description it says it is book II, if you click on book 5 it says it is book III. ??? Hmmmmm.

And I just found book 5 at Alibris !!!
I bought them all. That's it I have the whole set now (assuming that what they send is what was listed).
You guys really pointed me in the right direction. I was just doing Google searches for the name of the book. I hadn't thought of search for used books first, then the name. Duh ..... !!
Thanks
