Hi everyone,
I know that's an old story but how on earth could the Yamaha management take the decision to market the CVP 103 (to some locations) without the key cover ?! At least they could have provided an optional upgrade, if money was the reason. Besides that, if there is no way to install it after delivery from the factory, then the mechanical designers have done, sorry to say it, an amateurish job.

A simple mounting kit and a standard cover, all at a reasonable price, could have solved the problem. Yet it seams that nobody up there really cares about it. And that's bad for Yamaha. Very bad.

Regards,

George

I had to chuckle at this a little bit. I've owned two acoustic pianos, including a grand piano, and two CVPs. I've never once closed the keyboard cover! I guess there are different kinds of people for a very good reason.

If getting dust over time on the keys and between the keys is your concern you might be able to get a heavy cloth keyboard cover of some type that completely covers the keys and protects them, to a degree. The movie "The Pianist" shows a scene with one of those covers on it.

Hi,
I understand and respect your point of view. I also understand the difference between Beethoven and Steinway.
But would keep oudoors your Rols Royce ? After all, it's just a car...

Kind regards.
