How about a remote control with very basic functions:
Volume
Play/Stop
Next
I ofter use my CVP to play midi songs like a player piano. Some songs are louder than others and it would be nice to be able to adjust the volume while sitting on the couch. Also to pause or stop when the phone rings.
Seems like this should be pretty easy.
