Do you use surge protection for your Clavinova? If so, what did you buy? Thanks!

Absolutely - and I don't even live in thunderstorm country.

We have pretty stable power in my neighborhood so I just use a mid-priced power strip with a built-in surge protector. If you're worried about it, get a power conditioner (about $50 US or so.) I'm sure the Clavinova is fused internally but getting to the fuses is likely to be a hassle.

I have my CVP-207 plugged into a UPS (uninterruptable power supply). If power goes out, the CVP stays on for 10-20 minutes. We live in central Florida, the thunderstorm capital of the U.S.

The UPS gives some measure of surge protection, and prevents annoyances like losing a particular setup (registration) due to a power blip.

BTW, we also have UPS's on our computers and our main TV/cable box.
