I've been reading the introduce yourself thread and it seems that a lot of people are in IT related jobs. Is this coincidence or is there some kind of relation between this area of work and playing the CVP. I consider myself computer illterate and wonder if this explains my lack of interest in fully utilising the functions on the cvp. Just wondering.

No not really, there is a relation between IT jobs people and using Internet-forums.
I consider myself computer illiterate
Your a computer-user and Internet-user, just like me and most of us.
Impossible for you to be a "computer illiterate"
if this explains my lack of interest in fully utilising the functions on the cvp. Just wondering
Sorry But I don't see a lack of interest at all, in fact you're very interested and I suspect you would love to master all cvp's functions.
You may not like this, the problem is "mental laziness", it comes with age and we all got it in some degree, most of us don't read manuals because we are just to mentally-lazy, instead we tend to use experience to get things to work.
Think about it,
You got a very strong mind, much faster and better than when you were a kid, you can learn all about the cvp in less than a week, (a biological fact, no need to try convince me otherwise)
I think its not important to know everything about a cvp
If you think it is, buy a set of the CD here on the side
play them, concentrate and you'll know a lot cvp in a short time.
Kind regards
Eric
