I live in Houston and wanted to buy a CVP207. There is only one dealer in Houston that sells CVPs. As a result, there is absolutely no price competition. The same unit sells for at least $2000 less if purchased in Europe but there is the hassle of shipping and lack of warranty support. Yamaha does not allow U.S. dealers to ship outside their sales territory or sell the CVP over the Internet. Does this sound like price fixing to anyone? Anway, does anyone have any suggestions on how to get a CVP207 for a competitive price with warranty?

Thanks for the help,
Matt

One of the forums here is about "Clavinova Purchasing Experiences" which should help - lots of useful info, including a spreadsheet with pricing and details. One option is to buy from Canada (warranty still valid), for example, from Steve Loates http://www.keyboard.on.ca/ - the shipping is cheaper than from Europe obviously, but the warranty holds.
