I've been away from my home computer since Dec. 18/05.
When I log in I only get to see the last 10 posts.
How do I change the settings so that I can catch up on what has gone on since Dec 18...?

If you click on the Forums link, you can go into any forum. It will show you a page full of threads. At the bottom of the list you can set whether you just want the last 30 days (this is the default) or longer. Hope this helps.

Hi!
I'm not quite sure I understand. Doesn't "View new posts" work for you??? For me it always shows all the created and updated posts even if I've been away for weeks. (Although if you log out before going through them all then the timestamp is reset - is that the problem?)

Thanks Wally
I see now that I can temporarily increase the number of posts if I go to the Forum list and pick on an indiviual section; however, I was hoping that I could see all posts over a long period regardless of which section they belong. Is this possible...?

I see that my original post was a bit misleading. I neglected to mention that I did on occasion have a chance to browse the internet at a cyber cafe, and connect to the CVPUG website. I did not log in as I expected to see all posts since leaving home when I returned.

Hi!
I must be a totally thick idiot. To me that still sounds like you should be using View New Posts. If you haven't logged in since Dec 18, it should show you all the new posts in all the folders. It does for me.

OK Danny
I do not doubt your word, I won't be able to test it now until next time I'm away...!
I guess I interfered with the "View New Posts" link once I logged in at home so today I just get the posts from yesterday...<GRIN>.
Thanks for the tip though.
As no one else but you and Wally entered this thread I must have been the only asleep...!

Hi!
IF we are indeed on the same page and I haven't misunderstood, then the trick is to read ALL posts when you log in the first time after having been away. If I don't have time to do it on one day, I keep the page open (still logged in), and just use the Back button repeatedly to read through all the posts. New posts during the time I'm catching up then seems to come up the next time I log in.
I find this forum the easiest of all I'm a member of to keep up with.
