Hi, I am a non-piano playing parent of a young music student. I often use the step recording feature of my CVP-207 to enter the songs to enable me to compare what my daughter plays against the song I entered. To date I have been very successful using this method. I have been able to enter ties but she has now progressed to using slurs. I have not been able to figure out how to enter these. Any help would be appriciated.
Thanx.

Wes,
You can select "Ten." for 99% note length with the :H: button. That gives you the slur sound.
How do you do ties?

Hi Dan
To do a tie you just add the note lenghts together. The slur could be done by using Pitch Bend. I know the piano does not have a Pitch Bend wheel but there is a midi command for it.

Thanks for the quick replies Dan & Kent; I'll check out your suggestions. If anybody else has suggestions keep them coming.
Dan, to make a tie beween notes press the key for the note of choice (A, B, C...) and keep it down. While holding the key press the note value (whole, half, quater, etc.) button needed and you have just created a tie. There is an example on page 100 of the users manual (CVP-209/207). See step 1. Thanx.
