I own a CVP301 and I have tried internal CVP307 style which are working fine and Tyros style where sometime the bass channel sounds inhibited.

I have tried to configure the all-revoice option but the problem still occurs.

Does anyone have a clue about it?

Tyros styles are working with megavoices. May be your cvp301 doesn´t have the megavoices the tyros has. You should revoice the bassvoice of the tyrosstyle to a regular bassvoice of your cvp301.

There is some mega voice in the CVP301 (not that much indeed).

the weird thing is when I want to revoice the voice attached to the style , I cannot see any Bass voice. The CVP revoice all the others correctly but not the ones that are not present (obviously the bass ones....)

I will try to investigate deeper because this sounds not happen with 307 internal styles (but I am not sure, as I did not tried all the internal styles).

But many thanks anyway for your inputs.

I've finally use the revoice tool from http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/index.htm

and it sounds working okay.

I will further investigage when I have some time and let you know.

You could use the free program called MidiPlayer, or MidiPlayerII. It will convert Yamaha styles from one instrument to another. There is no selection for CVP109 (or any CVP). You should choose PSR2000 since I believe that is the closest match to your CVP. After you save the style files run through MidiPlayer, it will convert it by removing Megavoices, etc. You can get it here:
