I am awaiting delivery of my Clavinova 309 and am wondering what is the best form of storing and uploading MIDI files.
I have no floppy disk facitilty now but Smart card & USB storage plug-ins are an option.
Would a portable Hard Drive be suitable? 20, 40 & 60 MB are available and are not too expensive.
Any suggestions are welcome!

There have been several recent postings about this.
From what I can gather, you can use whichever method is most convenient to your situation.

If I had a CVP with the capability, I'd use a USB thumb drive (they're really cheap!) and just leave it plugged into the CVP all the time (except when I'm adding new files from the internet).
That would make a heck of a big MIDI library, on demand!

That looks good- how much does it hold?

Hi!
I have a 512MB Sandisk thumbdrive plugged in all the time. How much actually fits on there I couldn't say, but I have literally thousands of songs and styles on it so far.
