LOL :D :D :D :D Y'all are right. Am missing a little sleep!

I love, love, LOVE my new CVP-307!!!!!!!! I haven't even cracked open the manual yet, as many of the controls are very intuitive and I'm having fun with the more obvious things. Was absolutely delighted yesterday to find out I could view the score to several pre-recorded Clavinova songs, turn off the pre-recorded right and left hand recordings, keep the styles and play along with my very own back up band. What FUN!!!!!!!!!! If I'd had something like this when I was a kid, no one would have ever been able to pry me away from the piano.

I WILL need to crack open the book to figure out how to plug in my microphone. Am thinking I must need some sort of cord I don't have...because my mic sure won't fit into the mic slot.

I love how even a very simple song (like Nadia's Theme) sounds so wonderfully rich when a little orchestration is added in. What a beautiful instrument!

Well, gotta run! My "entire orchestra and back up band in a box" are waiting!

There is an adaptor Jan. You can pick one up at any music store that sells guitars/microphones, etc. I think I paid about $15 for it. Make sure you get the best quality available if you plan on doing recording, you will want the best connection.

The music you record will also produce a score. It might not appear the way you like it. I understand this can be repaired with quantizing. Haven't gotten that far myself (or feel the need to). I have music software for any notation and engraving needs as I mostly have to play from a score unless I'm improvising.

My orchestral recordings haven't required more than eight tracks so far. I haven't done any cut and paste yet. First I lay a main track which is a reduction of the score. Then I add the extra parts track by track. You can play back tracks individually and make all kinds of adjustments to the voices afterwards. You can change keys and tempos after its all recorded, as well.

Yes. The instrument is very intuitive if you're used to working with computers and pipe organs. Its so incredible having all of those sounds at your fingertips!!!!!!!!
