Hi All
In 1997 I met Guy Saint-Clair a professional concert pianist,
composer, arranger (and genius). Guy was at the time, working on two piano concertos using his CVP 79.
He had recorded a number of sections of around 2 minutes long and needed someone with music and computer skills to help him join them all up. All of the sections had been played on his piano, part by part.
I said I could help!!! Using my Atari computer and my CVP 79 piano, I joined all of the sections up into one final piece.
Here are a few parts from the original.
Please bear in mind that the original was composed on a CVP 79 and, as such, was balanced for the 79's voices. However it should still sound good on all later cvps.
Hope you enjoy it.

MM, Guy,
Great arrangement! I used a midi notation program to look at all of the sections and instruments used. It's a very complex piece like this, required a lot of work, I would imagine.
I get impatient doing my music and I have a tendency to throw things together with single takes, mistakes and all.... This shows the importance of taking the time to do it right!! (Perfect)
Excellent job.
Congratulations.

Wow! Just great. The excitement is very reminiscent of music performed by the Russian Osipov Balalaika Orchestra. You can post more of that calibre any time you wish. Meeting and getting to know the artist must have been a thrill. Is he still alive, well, performing, composing? Thanks to both of you for some excellent work.

Hi!
I like these a lot! You said it's just parts, is it possible to post the complete file?

Hi All
Thank you for your kind replies. If only I could pass them on to Guy, alas I have lost contact with him. His full name is Guy Saint-Clair and as far as I know, he is in the states somewhere. If anybody knows how to contact him I would love to know.
Sorry but as this is his OWN, original work, I feel it is not my for me to pass on the full work, without his permission. If I ever get the ok from him, then I will gladly post them.

Hi!
I suspected that. Pity. But I totally understand.
Did he ever get it published? If not, then you are potentially sitting on some nice music that will disappear, once he does, and you (or your PC) does. That sounds morbid, but my family lost some of my fathers artwork the same way when he died.

Hi
Don't worry, I have it backed up a number of times. I even recorded it straight from the cvp 79 to CD so I could play it in the car.

Hi!
So did my father. But when he died we couldn't find it... It includes family photos from the late 1800's that he had scanned. We couldn't find them on the PC, on any of the CD's, nor could we find the originals he'd used.
