Clavinova Teardown Pictures?

Wondering if anyone has taken apart a clavinova and photo-documented it? I am curious as to see the guts/circuit boards, assemblies, but I'm also wondering if it would be possible to 'upgrade' some models. If basically everything is identical between 2 models except a few features, and these are in eprom type chips, maybe you could just burn a new chip and upgrade to a higher model? Probably not, but its just something I've been thinking about :)

I didnt say it had to be yours, I'm just saying I'd be surprised if no one has done this or seen this before. I've seen other situations where this is done almost commonplace - home gaming consoles, arcade equipment, laptop computers, even brand new cars :) No one is at all curious what kind of chips are used that make all the magic happen?

I didnt mean to horrify or offend anyone :)

Actually my CVP came very close to being hit by a car about a month ago, while still in my living room! That would have shown the insides for sure.

So ... OK ... before you ask. Here is how it almost happened. A guy driving a car had a diabetic reaction and passed out at the wheel. He drove off the road and hit my house! Just a minor hit, but if he had been two feet the other way he would have come right through my living room!

JP - you can purchase the service manual through Yamaha and from what I hear it is written for "dummies."
