Hello CVPUG,

I've just spent about 2 hours searching thru this site and decided to join. I found some great info, however, I am specifically looking for info regarding good, reliable websites that sell the CVP 208, 209, 210 models.

I live in the IN, OH, KY tristate area and unfortunately, have very little to choose from in music stores which deal with Yamaha.
So, I'm trying to find a website that is reasonably close to my location as I don't wish to pay a huge delivery fee.

I have checked out the UK and Canada sites, but frankly, I am too worried about possible damage from shipping among other things. I would prefer to keep it in the US.

One note of interest, I called a dealer in the area inquiring about the price of the CVP208. I was told the retail price of $7,995 minus $1,000 (for a church discount) and minus $1,500 for a CVP65 trade-in with the bottom figure coming to $5,495.

I also inquired about the CVP210, which after discount and trade-in came to $7,495. Do either of these sound like a good deal to anyone?

If someone has a suggestion and feel they got a good deal from a US website, I would appreciate the info.

Thanks so much!

I am surprised you're worried about shipping damage - they HAVE to insure it against that, and shipping from Yamaha itself to the dealer is not much different from any otherplace. If you want to retain your warranty... buy from Steve Loates in Canada (cheaper than anything you have quoted). Cheaper still is Europe, but not by much, and you lose the warranty - which is not the case when shipping from Canada.

Regards
Mike

One of the nicest dealers that I have come across is from Ohio. Falls Music. They are straight forward, customer oriented, and give an excellent price. At least as good as that Canadian dealer but in the U.S.

Give Bob a call...and talk to him. He's the owner at Falls Music. Their web site is www.fallsmusic.com.

Hello,
Just a option you might consider. A year ago tomorrow, I bought a CVP 109 off of eBay. I paid $3800 plus S&H and insurance of about $600. (It had to be shipped from California to Maryland). I had no problems or damages with shipping. Sometimes you can get good deals there. It is worth looking into.
