whenever I click "post reply", "new thread", etc., it tells me to login. so I login and I get this 404 error. The only way for me to log in is through the main page. this is getting annoying especially for dial-up people.

Hi!

That only happens to me if I follow the link in the emails. I never do that anymore, I just delete the mail, and then open CVPUG manually, which then logs me in automatically, and click on New Posts. There's no hassle at all that way.

I'm assuming you've saved your password. but sometimes others don't for security reasons or we just want to clear the memory. I open cvpug manually also, but still get that message.

How widespread IS this problem? Is anyone else experiencing it?

Not me and I use three different computers to access the board.

try signing out first. then click "post reply." It will tell you to enter your user name and password. then Login. do you get the 404 message? I still get it...

No, tried it. Does not happen to me. Perhaps you have your internet settings set to not allow cookies?

Hi!

It's ALWAYS been like that for me, I've just accepted it and let it be as I found workarounds. Tried it again just now - and indeed, a 404. I must have tried it on at least 4 PC's running different versions of both Windows and IE over the years.

this is what it said:

Not Found
The requested URL /member.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/1.3.36 Server at www.cvpug.com Port 80

I used firefox. it also happens to IE too.

A new version of CVPUG is in the works that should eliminate such problems.
