The thing that frustrates me the most (as well as all beginners and intermediates) is hand coordination and independence. I'm right handed and my left hand won't obey. Got any advice? are there any books, videos, or whatever that can aid me in learning how to control my left and right hand independently?

As for strength and dexterity, I heard "Hanon: Virtuoso Pianist in 60 exercises" is great for building up strength and dexterity, but I dont know about hand coordination/independence. IMO it all depends on the piano also. I find it quite hard to play very fast with my left hand in the lower register because the lower registers (cvp's) is much heavier to press down and I get fatigue.

Exercises for the Independence of Fingers by I. Philipp is really good. You should try it out.

I would like to recommend you to consider the didactic works by Ettore Pozzoli (published by Ricordi in Italy, but available worldwide).
As a matter of fact, I like them a lot because, at any level (from preparatory to late intermediate), the piano studies by Pozzoli always balance very well the technical difficulties between right hand and left hand.
Both of them therefore get an equal benefit from the applied practice.
In particular, here are some titles that can be worth being taken into account:
(1) 30 Elementary Studies [beginner level]
(2) 24 Studies (Mechanism) [late beginner level]
(3) Studies of Medium Difficulties [intermediate level]

Regardless of one's current level of technique, I find all of them great in enhancing the degree of hand strength and independence, while playing piano.

Best regards,
