Hi,
I am going to buy the Yamaha CVP-303 soon....I was wondering what demos are available with the instrument...I know it does help your learning when you have songs you like as demos...
I am looking for Beethoven Moonlight Sonata and Fur Elise for example...I am not so much interested in jazz pieces...more in classical and pop pieces...Is there a list available somewhere...Please let me know...Thanks in advance!!

I know that Fur Elise is in the preset songs, but I'm not sure about the Sonata. There are several classical pieces. No jazz category though.
I couldn't find a song list for you, but here are the 10 preset song categories:
pop/rock
traditional
christmas favorites
children's classics
standards
movie/show
classical repertoire
easyplay
follow lights
sing-a-long

It's already helpful...Thanks a lot!!!! If Fur Elise is here, I am happy, even if if I have a preference for Moonlight Sonata...
Does the guiding light thing works also for midi song you download...Because then, you could have almost any song?

Sure it works, in general, for any midi file.
You can map one or two of its tracks onto the score setting, which will determine what you see on the display and set up the guiding feature accordingly.
In practice, you can play yourself the musical part instead of the recorded one and let the guiding feature helping you while doing that.

Yes, it's amazing! I downloaded a bunch of midi files and use the play-along feature all the time. I'm learning some Eagles songs, and classical music, and lot of other stuff. If you press the SCORE button, you can see the sheet music too in many cases.
Just so you know, some midi files DON'T work like that, however. (They still sound really good coming out of the CVP!) Some of the people who make midis don't put the music on tracks one and two, so it doesn't always show the lights, or notes.
Some midis have lyrics too - I forgot to mention that. On the files I download, I change the little icon next to the name of the file if it has lyrics so I know that it's a karaoke file. It makes the songs easier to find later.
Hope that helps. I have a CVP305M and love it!
