How to erase user songs on CLP-230

I have the CLP-230 and the instrument share the same manual as CLP-240. Both instrument allow recording of songs in the user slots. But CLP-230 doesn't have the format/delete button like CLP-240 which is used according to manual to erase songs...If so, how to I erase already recorded songs??? Can anyone tell me?:confused:

Choose one song and
1. Press the REC button.
2. Press the Play button.
3. Do not play any key.
4. Press the STOP button.
The song will be erased.
