Hi!

Here's yet another catacomb piece. Imagine psalms rising from deep inside the catacombs, and roman soldiers marching to persecute the christians down into the catacombs.

Pini presso una catacomba - MP3 (http://www.box.net/shared/static/6ftk44qtmv.mp3)
Pini presso una catacomba - MIDI (http://www.box.net/shared/static/z603bximbe.MID) (as usual NOT for playing on the PC, only on the CVP)

This will be my last recording for a while, as I'm going to US on Monday for two weeks.

Dear Danny,

another great rendition of yours!
This piece by Respighi is one of the most difficult to interpret, oscillating from an ethereal and mysterious mood to a dramatic atmosphere, with the pines being silent witnesses of ancient stories and human passions.

I liked very much, in particular, the lonely and reverberating trumpet that sings the tune of "Gloria in excelsis Deo": really very touching.
Furthermore, the subsequent, more dramatic, section sounds very original compared to common concert executions.

Best regards,
