New IDC utility: Music Finder +

Yamaha has added a a new utility to the Internet Direct Conexion, The Music Finder + (plus).

I have seen it in a video by Peter Baartmans explaining how it works.

The new Music Finder plus is FREE, and has over 8.000 records and 2.000 performance guides since april 2.007.

You need to install the latest firmware update (v.170)

Anybody familiar with the USB2.0 Ethernet adapter that was mentioned in the Yamaha-europe video?

I looked it up on the internet and there must be at least 10 different models ranging in price from $12 to over $100. I would appreciate some input. Thanks.

I think any of those adapters should work with the firmware version 1.70.

Yes I have the Linksys Compact usb 2.0 adapter and in fact Yamaha sent it to me directly free of charge ..

Ok I am having a problem with the music finder plus... I can get on the internet and I can go to music finder plus but when I try to look for records or anything it tells me to download the new firmware which I have already done and confirmed that is the one that is in my piano??? does anyone have any ideas what is going on............ :confused:

I finally received the Linksys usb adapter from Yamaha. Also was included a smart card with firmware 1.7 update. However I have already updated to 1.8.

I will get on the internet soon and learn how it works.
