Hi!

As you'll see in another post, the CGP1000 will be the same as the 409 - ie a 409GP.

So you've given up on waiting for sampling, wheels and pads? Come to think of it though, it is disappointing that the 4xx doesn't have sampling when there is some form of audio recording capability...!

Hi dbjorck!!!

I still have some hope on sampling feature on CGP-1000... Seems that wheels and pads will never be present on these instruments...
I agree with you as it is really disappointing to see the CVP-40x series with less features than the Tyros 2. At least the screen of the CGP-1000 should be better than the Tyros 2 very poor quality LCD screen!!!

Hi!

According to this site
http://shop.musicproducts.com/product.lasso?c=UK&pr=045440&newlang=en
the CGP1000 will be released in September. The pricing seems basically the same as the 309GP was when it was new. The picture still shows the 3xx panel though... Same with the description.

Hi!

That's exactly the info link I already posted! It's the "old" version of the CGP1000 with the 3xx panel and no articulated voices - the only updated bit in the beginning is where they say it's a 409.

As to the other link; "more drum voices than you will ever need"... I'm still screaming murder about the fact that there is no gong, no riding cymbal, no good crash cymbal (the ones there are are very weak), no tamtam. And in fact, as I've read through the drum lists many times looking for these, I realised there aren't in fact that many. Each voice is just repeated 5 or 10 times in different configurations making it seem like many.
