View Full Version : IAFC vs. CVP207

I have had a CVP207 for 5 years and enjoy
playing it both as a piano, organ and arranger.
[Except for replacement of about 2-3 broken keys every year or so.]
I am thinking of trading up to a CVP407 but realize
that I will get very little in trade for the CVP207,
so that this will be an expensive move. I was
wondering if anyone could compare the piano
on the CVP207 with no IAFC to that on the CVP407.
Is there really a significant difference? The CVP207
has enough styles for my use (i have about 50
extra styles in the user memory) and the USB connectivity
of the CVP407 is not a major draw for me either.
The SA voices would be nice but I am happy with
the sweet voices on my CVP207. So I think the improvement
in the piano and IAFC will be a major point in my decision.
Any advice?

Thanks

Sam

Hi!

I don't know the iAFC on the 407, but I'm quite sure it's the same as on my 309. The iAFC effect is of course dependent on the environment it is going to stand in, but usually the effect is quite slim. It is there, but it doesn't create such an earth shattering effect that you would want to pay thousands just for that alone.

IMHO.

If you have to replace keys on your keyboard every year, then maybe the improved keyboard on the 407 might be a more interesting attraction though.
