I recently found a web site that sells outstanding MIDIs with lyrics that work properly in the CVP. They're a bit pricey at $8.99 each, but I've purchased about a dozen so far and they're all very well done. They offer lots of very recent hits, too. And they'll do a custom MIDI for any published song for as little as $89.
Here's their web site address: http://www.midi-hits.com
Enjoy.

Hi Wally,
it's also worth to mention, that yamahamusicsoft offers a lot of midi disks for much reduced price.
http://www.yamahamusicsoft.com/index.php?action=ProductCatalog&page_num=1&category_id=222&results_per_page=10&search_term=&all_words=&exact_phrase=&n_search_terms=&n_all_words=&n_exact_phrase=&reference_id=&supplier_id=&only_columns=&n_only_columns=&limitGroupMin=&limitGroupMax=
A lot of these (if not all) come with sheetmusic.
Of course this is older stuff.
It's a pity that ordering from germany has so high shipping costs.

Yamahamusicsoft does excellent midis, but they typically don't have the music I like to listen to. But I agree their midis are excellent.

Hi,
look also here:

The Midis are quite simple, but should be useful for learning purposes.

Hi dbjork,
WARNING POPUPS POPUPS POPUPS and all kinds of weird things it wanted to do. It starts for instance with a chat?!The little I saw of the site it didn't even have any search or categories, just links in a totally random mess.
Its obviously an advertisement-paid site.
There is a flash applet running that gives an annoying background sound and that shows a chat. Chat is only started if you click to it.
Click right to it and stop the applet, then also the sound will stop.
I got one popup only and that was advertisement for a well known assecurance company, nothing wired or obscene. (I got german advertisement, you might get other ad's, because your IP is different)
Scroll down, the sheet music is also provided.
Content is limited to one page, so a search function is not needed, but they have some good music there.
Just my opinion.

Hi!
Well, even if it's just a picture of a chat that it opens with and not the actual chat itself, it's still disconcerting to me that the site owner rather wants me to join a chat than to look at the MIDI files. And for me it opened 3 popups that I was not at all interested in. And I have popup blocker...! Me personally, I simply stay away from this kind of site, period. There are other, kinder, ways to generate revenue from your site. Popups are way outdated.

Hi!

It is not my site - I swear!
My site is here: http://www.hphsite.de (Its very unprofessional and -be warned- a lot of Youtube videos)
Tell your words about popups to Microsoft Network. They have really annoying overlay- windows that hide the content and where it is not easy to close them ;-)
BTW, I like your contributions to Clavinova creations a lot, but these are much too advanced for me...
best regards,
Peter

Hi!
LOL as I was writing it, I was in fact thinking that "your site" could be misinterpreted! What I meant was of course the site of any site creator. I considered writing "the site" instead, but that would have made it specifically for that site, and I was after a general sense. I think we need a new word here. Let's make the pirates come back, and call it "thar sites" :D
I'm also a sucker for praise. But if you could, would you explain how they are too advanced? I mean is it the selection of music which is too advanced ("high brow" or something)? I've been trying to mix it up just a little bit but I realise it's still in the "serious" arena.

Hi dbjork
With too advanced I mean: There are a lot of voices and advanced music that I like to listen, but cannot play.
I am an absolute piano beginner, still learning the basics.
So the above mentioned site was welcome to me, it has e.g. sheets and midis for Christine Aquileras "Hurt" or Robby Williams "Angels", easy enough for me to try and I like this music also.
BTW, recently I discovered Yuhki Kuramoto and I ordered a really expensive
Collection at Yamaha: http://www.yamahamusicsoft.com/index.php?action=ProductDetail&product_id=1000475
If anybody knows where to buy more sheets or midis from Yuhki Kuramoto, please let me know, it seems to be unavailable here...
regards,
Peter
