At this moment you can show simultaneously notation only for 2 channels. It would be nice to have possibility to show 4 channels through these 4 staff.

What, nobody will comment this wish. I'd really like to have this functionality - more than 2 channels in the same moment o screen. In songs that I record for myself many time I have 4 or more melodies and I'd like to show them in parallel on score screen.

Hi!

No one is commenting because everyone is agreeing. Personally I would like to be able to show 16 as I do a lot of orchestral work. Yes - that would require a taller screen...

Although to be fair to Yamaha the score feature is there so you can read the notation and play along with the song being played. That is what I mainly use it for. If you want to see more staves put the music in a notation program.

Also the screen would need to be a lot bigger - at least 17 inches for it to be useful for showing more then 5 or 6 staves.

You're right Nigel, for professional score look one needs notation program. But here I just wanted to point out that my CVP and PSR already have the possibility to show 4 staff on my LCD screen but only in 2+2 combination! One can see only 2 music channels in first row and the same 2 channels in second row. I like in my songs to exchange 3, 4 or more melodies with different instruments and my praxis is to record each instrument on it's own channel. When I look at this song in score I have to change channels all the time in order to see melody.

My wonder is that Yamaha already offer 4 staff per screen but only in combination of 2 channels. When there already are 4 staff, why not allow users to use them for 4 different channels. I think that this would require only internal software change not bigger screen or any other technical change.
