In future I intend to create my own styles, first of them will be based on existing styles with small changes and final ones will be my full creations. But before I start to do it I have to learn from existing styles how all these instrument are assembled in existing style patterns.
I think that I will rengineer and write down some existing music patterns of these styles channel by channel to see how professionals did it. I mean, on paper I will write what is drum playing, what bass-guitar, what rhythm guitar etc. After that I will understand how to create my styles using similar patterns.
Now I'm just wondering if anybody else has already done something like this?

Hi ,
If you record the styles into the sequencer you can then look at them in the score mode, since the sequencer records all the style parts!!
Or take the midi file and put it in a score program- I use Sibelius 5 but there are other ones . I used to use Noteworthy which for the money is excellent. It is also very good with midi files.

I rearranged one existing reggae style (changed bass channel) to better fit my needs and it was OK, but not as good as I want. (needed it for Boris Gardiner's song "I wanna wake up with you") Maybe you have something better that could be used for this song because I still didn't record it for my album :-)

Yeah, I meant to use sequencer otherwise I would need one year to capture this.
