Hi!

As far as I know, no-one has been able to extract these, same with the demo songs. They are all embedded within the operating system. Secondly, most of them wouldn't be compatible with earlier systems anyway. Many of the new styles in 4xx use Super Articulated voices which didn't exist on the previous models. Same with 3xx, that was the first time Mega voices were used in the styles so they're not compatible with 2xx, simply because those sounds don't exist.

I afraid you are wrong there. You can copy the styles to the usb key, well you can with the cvp 400 series.

You just go to the styles menu, press copy, press all. then go to USB and paste.

You are right about the demo songs you cant copy them or record them using the usb audio record. Which is strange because you could just record the output!!!

Right, one can copy styles. Styles like voices, songs, effect settings, etc. are not hardcoded into Yamaha operating system. They are just files that can be copied. Now I'm not talking about legality of this copying. As far as I know all yamaha styles (like anything else related to Yamaha) is copyrighted so I'm not totally sure if copying their original styles is 100% legal. But however ...

I would recommend "PSR tutorial" site where one can find a lot of styles used for Yamaha PSR series keyboards. PSR series have the same engine like CVP serie, the main difference is that PSR has plastic keyboard and CVP GH(3) keys. Sounds, styles, logic is the same. E.g. I have PSR-1500 (PSR-S700 is the same story) and this almost 100% the same keyboard like CVP-403. All my MIDI files recorded in PRS sound 100% the same on CVP like on PSR. So styles used in PSR (and you can fine a lot of them on Internet) can be used in CVP as well. There are some slight differences between styles used in old PSRs (like PSR-9000) or Tyros instruments but PSR-1500/3000/S700/S900 are compatibile with CVP serie.

Thanks for your help.
i know the "psrtutorial"-site which is a superb site for every yamaha-owner.

but back to my problem.
I now got some cvp 407/409 styles but not all the internal ones. If there is no chance to get the whole internal styles, perhaps someone can help me with a smaller research: i look for a specific styles named: "TradPianoBallad" and the whole pianist-section of the 407/409 styles.

I would be glad to hear from someone

Thanks!
