Is it possible to apply a control (volume, effect, quantization, etc.) only on part of channel or one has to apply it on the whole channel.

For example I'd like to lower the volume of one section of my channel but not of the whole melody on that channel. Also sometimes I'd like to quantize some quick sections od channel. Is it possible to apply it partionaly only on a section?

Hi!

Yes, for live performance parameters (volume, effects) you can add those in the 1-16 tab at the required point. I do it all the time. But quantization is not live performance, it changes the whole file before playing it. That function, at least on the 3xx, doesn't allow for quantising sections (I've wanted that a few times myself)

OK quantization is not possible partially.

Let's spend few more words about volume control. I have one melody in one channel and I'd like to lower volume for 20% (lower volume from CVP level 100 to 80 and this volume decrease should apply proportionaly on all notes inside this section meaning that silent note should be for 20% more quiet and loud ones also for 20% more quiet) for section from 16th til 24th bar - how would I do that?

Hi!

In Song Creator, the 1-16 tab, go to the channel you want to change, go to the bar where you want it changed, press INS, change Control number to 7, and the value to the right of it accordingly. The easiest way is in fact to first go to the Volume setting at 0:3, and press INS - then you already get a Volume setting. But then you need to change the bar and beat to the left. Which is fine because it will move to that point after you exit the line. So you can just continue by pressing INS on the Volume setting every time and fixing bar and value.
