Locking thread

Why one is not able to lock his thread? Locking thread functionality is usual functionality for such a forums. If one thinks that his/her thread is fully answered and that discussion came to an end, one should be able to finish it by locking it.

While you might be the originator of the thread, and you may have gotten your answer, threads frequently take on a life of their own. Others may want to continue the discussion down another rabbit hole.
