I'm want to play/record some Christmas music with sleigh bells, but I can't seem to find sleigh bells anywhere, even in the percussion area. It may be there under another name, though, and I probably overlooked it.
Any ideas?

Hi!
For that I'd use the Jingle Bells sound which is on B6 of the standard drum kit.

Thanks for the info. Is there a way for that sound to be incorporated into a song without having to manually hit the B6 key? For example, on each beat.....

Yeah, just record that on one of the tracks and quantize.... or use a midi editor on a PC to put it in.

Hi!
Another option is that even though Song Creator is known to be difficult to use, this can be done almost easily there by entering the note once and then copying it to the rest of the song. Let me know if you want step by step instructions for that.

Please do give step-by-step instructions. I want to give it a shot without messing things up.
Thanks for the help.

Hi!
1) Go into Song Creator
2) Go to the 1-16 tab and select the channel you want the bells on
3) Press the Percussion & Drum Kit voice button
4) Select for instance the StandardKit1 voice
5) Press the Exit button
6) Press lower button 6 (Insert)
7) Press button E (Right) to go to the event
8) Press upper button 5 (Small Data Entry Up) 3 times until it says Note
9) With button E (Right), move to where it says E3, and press B6 (the highest B) on the keyboard (the display will say B4)
10) Press button B (Down) to save it
11) Press button A (Up) to return to the note
12) Press lower button 6 (Insert) again
13) Press button D (Left)
14) Press upper button 5 (Small Data Entry Up) to change the beat to 2
15) Repeat steps 10, 11, 12, 14 for beats 3 and 4
16) Press and hold button J (Multi Select), and press button A (Up) until all four beats are selected
17) Release button J and press upper button 7 (Copy)
18) Press upper button 1 (Bar Select Up) to go to the next bar
19) Press upper button 8 (Paste) to create a new bar of notes
20) Press upper button 2 (Beat Select) to go to beat 1 of the next bar
21) Press upper button 8 (Paste) to create a new bar of notes
22) Repeat 20-21 for as many bars as you need
(Optionally, if it is a lot of bars, you can speed it up even more by repeating step 16-17 when you've done for instance 10 bars but selecting all 10 bars, and then use 18-22 to copy 10 whole bars at a time. In that case use lower button 7 (Delete) to remove the extra notes)
In written form like this it may seem laborious, but I've written it so that a paraplegic ant should be able to do it. When you actually do it you'll notice that it is actually quite fast. The trick here is realising that when you press Insert, it will do an exact copy of the event you're on.
