We're thinking of getting a CVP-409 (or 407) to replace our 4 year old CVP-208. Does anyone know where we can see a comparison of what new features appear on the CVP-409 that we don't have on the CVP-208. I see mention of things like wooden keys, iAFC (whatever that is), etc.

Also, anywhere that provides a comparison of CVP-409 vs the CVP-407 and CVP-405 etc.

And does anyone know if Yamaha plan on releasing a GP version of the 409, or am I stuck with a CVP0309GP if I want the mini grand cabinet?

Hi!

I suppose you may find some useful information in this thread

http://cvpug.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2150

which was generated in the CVP300-Series Discussion Forum, because the corresponding Forum for the CVP400 Series did not exist yet. (Actually, it was opened shortly afterwards).

Thanks Carlo.

Another thought, what's the differences introduced with the CVP-3xx range. Looking at some pictures it looks like the keyboard lid has changed. What else?

Hi!

There were plenty of discussions in the past about the features of the various CVP3XX models.
See, for example

However, since this series is now being replaced by the new CVP4XX models and you are considering buying one of them, I think that you can find all basic information to compare the various models directly at this page of the official Yamaha site:

As for the grandpiano cabinet for the CVP409, have a look at:
