Hi,

I am asking myself if this device:
http://www.doepfer.de/we.htm
could be connected to the clavinova and how this could be done.

Should it be connected to MIDI IN only or shoul it be connected to IN and OUT
with the clavinova set to nonlocal Midi mode? Could this work?

Don't know about CVP 96. My model has a plug for an auxilliary foot pedal which can be used to control volume, sustain, modulation, etc. Looks like an interesting device. I'd get someone else to try it out first, or contact the company to see if they have any advice.

I have another keyboard (m-audio Prokeys88sx) and when I send MIDI events into this, say, I choose another sound, then the keyboard playing is not affected. Only the sound of the remote keyboard is affected.
(I used a virtual (software) keyboard to check this)

So I would need to know the behavior of the clavinova.
Unfortunately the clavinova is not transportable and my PC is not transportable and they are in different rooms, so I could not try it.
