Top of my wishlist is the introduction of WPA security when using the CVP4xx series to connect wirelessly to the internet.
The use of WEP is insecure and I don't want to downgrade my wireless security.

OK, it would be nice to have WPA encryption inside CVP OS but I do not expect that Yamaha will buil it in CVP soon. If you have some concerns about security you can use classic UTP from CVP to router (that's my case but not because of security - CVP-403 has ethernet card built in). Otherwise, even my PDA with Windows CE does not support WPA (only WEP) so I do not expect to have it in CVP.

I agree! WPA or WPA-2 really is a must, because WEP is so badly flawed. Because people are using the CVP's on their other networks, it is poor to expect them to downgrade to WEP on these other networks that may have sensitive data on.
What I'm going to do is use a second, cheaper wireless router to put my WEP "appliances" on - to isolate them from my "sensitive" network.
