Hi!
When someone finally gets a CGP-1000, can they please post an MP3 and MIDI using the Super Articulated voices? I'm interested to hear how they sound when a "normal" person plays them, and to see which voices the 309 selects for them (or if they are in fact not downwards compatible)

Dear Danny,
What do you mean you'd like "to see which voices the 309 selects for them?"
I expect my CGP-1000 to be delivered within the next 10 days.:)
Best regards,

Best regards,
There are of course no Super Articulated Voices in the Automatic Revoicing panel for me. I'm hoping that they've used the same voice numbers but in a different bank as they have done before, which would then automatically make it "downgrade" to a similar voice. If they haven't, it will default to the piano voice, or even worse, a white "unknown" square with no sound, which you sometimes get with special XG files from the web.

I'm still too ignorant to know what you want or how to do it. Sorry!
I am enjoying the piano, though.

As far as I know they're exactly the same voices found in the 407/409 series. A midi file from either of these models should give you what you want.

Me too.
I have had mine for almost exactly a month and it's a very nice instrument and I am progressing by leaps and bounds. Would you believe, by millimeters?:)
I also agree that the CVP407/409 should provide the same information your are apparently looking for but which I do not understand sufficiently to help you out.

Yes, indeed, any 4xx with Super Articulated Voices will of course do, I just happened to write CGP because I had just read a post about it.
Just use the Song Creator to record some phrases using each of the Super Articulated Voices. Post the resulting MIDI. Then make a recording of how that file sounds on your instrument, using the new USB recording functionality (not having a 4xx myself I can't tell you in detail how to do it, you'll need to check the manual), and post that too. (If the file is too large to attach due to the size limit, you can use a free storage site such as www.box.net and include a link to the file in the post).
