I wonder if you, like I, thought your CVP was made in Japan. I was surprised when I looked at the 207's sticker to get my serial number to fill-out my registration card and noticed the 207 was made in Indonesia not Japan.
Maybe that explains why the legs are a different rosewood color than the body, as was pointed out in a previous posting on this forum.
While writing this post I was struck by how the "Made In Japan" label has changed its meaning to buyers throughtout the world. What once was a negative label has become a label which stands for quality. In fact, most people want their Japanese car to be made in Japan rather than the USA or Canada. Funny how things change.

Hello,
I was the one who posted the question about the leg color.
I had a look at my cvp 207 and it is also Made in Indonesia.
I had the chance to give my CVP 207 back to Yamaha and get my money back. I didn't do so. I got my CVP 207 for 3200 Euro and it was a good price. Now I have it for 6 month and I have much fun with it.
I have a Wersi M.A.X.1 Expander connected over midi and so I have a 3rd voice like on a PSR 9000. There is nothing bad - only the color of the legs.
I come from Germany and posted the a question about the legs also in the German Yamaha forum. There was only one useful answer - there was written, that they have also different colored legs. So I think it's a worldwide problem.
Some weeks ago I was in a keyboard store and had a look at a CVP 208. The light was not very good but I think there is the same different color of the legs.

My CVP-207, purchased in the midwest USA, was made in Malaysia (home of the famous Petronas Twin Towers).

My CVP207 was made in Indonesia too but (at least to me) there's no perceptible difference between the legs' and the body's colour.

Glad to learn that your CVP body and legs match. My CVP is dark rosewood and the legs are a different shade than the body. It doesn't affect the sound, or any other feature, so it's no big deal.
I was just surprised when I read the post some time ago that indicated a difference in color and then discovered mine was also different. My surprise was related to the Japanese standards for quality workmanship or at least what I though was quality. Then when I discovered mine was not made in Japan, I had the answer to why there was a difference. Again not a big deal for me.
My only complaint about the CVP is the complexity of the manual. Of course, most of my complaint could be related to my inability to understand the esoteric terms which are part of the instructions, since I'm a novice to music and playing. However, since there are users like I, it would be nice to have a manual which could be understood by a complete beginner. I find the DVDs (Indicated on this board) to be of great benefit and worth the price, but I sure would like someone to write: A Guide For How To Use The CVP-20X, For The Complete Idiot."
