Hi,

I would like to write about two wishes for the CVP 407.

1. As far as I know the settings for the touch sensitivity can be set only for the whole CVP and not for an individual Registration Memory. I would very much like to make settings for a Registration Memory including the touch sensitivity. And for different Registrations different touch-settings.

2. My 307 had a Freeze-button. I miss it very very very much on the 407. I never use the Piano-button. Would it be possible to add the Freeze-function to this button? Or maybe other functions can be assigned to the Piano-button too. Functions can be assigned to the pedals, so why not to the Piano-button for the ones who would prefer this?

Bye,
Jaap, CVP 407 (what a privillige to have this instrument!).

Hi!

Perhaps you knew this, but about touch on registrations; you can actually set that on individual voices. Simply go into Sound Creator, and on the Common tab, change the Touch Sense to what you want, and save the voice with a descriptive name; for instance create a Piano Hard and a Piano Soft voice. Then use these voices in the registration. Perhaps more cumbersome than saving the whole keyboard setting, but it should give the same result. (Actually it would be better because this way you can have different touch for the left and right hands)

Brgds

Hello Danny,

Thanks for your information! This is a good solution to give different voices different key sensitivity. Great!

I'm not completely sure what you mean for "freeze-button" but if you keep Piano Reset button pushed for more than 5 seconds Clavinova goes (firstly asks) into lock status (only Grand Piano available, no other features, Clavinova pretends to be classic piano). If you push piano button again it asks whether you'd like to unlock it. That's how it works on my CVP-403 (probably the same on your CVP-407).
