Hi All

I was wondering if any of you experiance players are willing to share Reg's, with a beginner, i seem to struggle with what sound to use for various songs, Yes i know we have music finder, But it not always what you want, sometimes its the way you more experiance people set them up, I.e Harmony E.Q left hold, which octave to play in and such things.
I am trying to make my own getting a couple made but it is difficult, when you listen to you guys playing, and thing how did they get that sound.

Hi!

I'm not sure I grasp your point completely.

Anyway, in the CVPUG forum named "Clavinova Creations" you can find many examples of registrations.
Try and experiment with them, by choosing the music genre you like most.

You can try revoicing, changing effects, playing along, etc.
That will be very instructive to you, as was in my case.

Then, try your own recordings and post them.
We'll be more than happy to give you comments and suggestions.

Good luck!

Best regards,

That sound you are looking for is probably layered Phillip, not acheived by straight playing, at least from my experience. I use the voices of the CVP pretty much out of the box so to speak. Each instrument of the band or orchestra is recorded seperately, track on track.

That is not to say that you can't split the keyboard and use auto fill or auto accompany. I do not use those features much because I am able to arrive at the same sound a different way.

I am not familiar with your instrument but I assume you have the Sound Creator on it and registration memory. You can adjust each voice of the CVP many ways and save those adjustments. Is this the type of info you are looking for?
