Hello all.
I was wondering. I have downloaded many free midi files and of course the quality varies greatly. Has anyone purchased Midis from Yamaha Music Soft? I'm curious if they are significantly better than what you can find on the web? The ones on the web usually have just a simple one note melody instead of the voice, do bought ones have better arrangments?

Thanks

Onno

The commercial midis that you can buy from Yamaha and other sources are usually pretty good. I've never heard a really bad one. I recently stumbled across midi buddy at midibuddy.net. This looks like a great place to find individual commercial midis and you can hear a small sample of each midi.

Hi

Having siad that have a look at

http://www.garyw0001.com/frames.html

These are some of the BEST I have ever heard free or otherwise.

Yamaha do a vast range of disks for the CVP's both Midi and Pianosoft.

The Pianosoft disk are mainly just piano but some have an orchestral backing (Pianosoft Plus) and are all very good.

I have over 150 of these disks and I can honestly say that out of all there is 1 which is excellent and 1 which is realy bad. All the rest are just...........well...... good.
