My PSR-S700 recently doesnīt send any Midi-messages no more. It receives Midi-messages and I have all Midi-settings right in the Midi-control but no Midi-send.
What can I do?

Hi,
Do you use a usb connection to the computer, or midi out/in to your other instruments ? (no pc)
did you, for example, try connect it directly to the nl3 ?
Try to find out if it is a setting in the psr or the pc.
what DAW software do you use ?
How is everything connected ?
In my studio I use a psr403 with usb to a pc and a midi interface to connect a few other midi synths to the pc.
I experienced similar problems before and it always was midi device setting and midiport assigning in the computer.
I avoid direct usb connections as much as possible and stick to good old fasion midi cables.

No, itīs just a midi-out connection to NL3 or SonicCell, and it worked before very well. Instantly it didnīt work no more and meanwhile it seems to be clear, that it is a technical problem with the midi-out of my PSR. I have one more yera guarantee, so I hope, it can be fixed and be repaired.

If the midi out is dead, yamaha should fix it for free under waranty.
The only things I can think of is swap out the midicables and give the psr the factory reset.
You probably done this already.
I hope your nl3 is the key version cos I suspect the repair of the psr will take a while :(

Thanks Eric for your care.
I made a reset for the Midisettings already, but it didnīt change anything. Today I will make a total factoryreset, probably this will help.
Otherwise the yamaha-repairman, who is just in my hometown not far away, will have to fix it, I hope within a weeks time. Meanwhile I will play the NL3 (keyversion!).

A factory reset somethimes helps.
Sometimes I have to reset my wavestation after I sent a bad or wrong sysex file.
I mean, bad/corrupt voice data can also cause funy things like midi not working or hanging notes etc.
I see slowly but surely your list of electronic instruments is growing :D
;) Its addictive ist it ;)
Later I'll post some pictures here of the stuff I use.
Kind regards
Eric

Gosh! Your attic looks like a music showroom! The most I've had at a time was 4. I guess you have nine hands to play them with? Or perhaps extremely long fingers?

Hi
If I ever get any problems I use one of these.

If there is any midi data coming out then the LED will flash.

The Midi-Out was broken, but it could be repaired within the guaranty, so tomorrow I will get my PSR-S700 back.

Andreas,
I happy for you, must have been a small problem they could fix in the shop ?

:D Just imagine :D , No not at all, just the thing that's so great about "midi"
I can play any of them from any keyboard I please.
Also stack them, thus playing for example 10 of them together, get something like a synth-orchestra going.
Midi will also allow to sync everything in time (sequencers, arpegiaters, effects, etc)
Kind regards
Eric

No, they didnīt fix it in the shop, but the garage of the repairman is just nearby my dealers shop, so it worked out very fast. Today, everything is right in order and I can play as well as before!
