Good morning! Is it best to turn off the CVP after every use or to leave it on? I couldn't find either way in the owner's manual - thanks! It has been a very stormy week here in the Midwest, and even though I have the CVP on a great surge protector, I have been unplugging the entire thing when the storms roll through. But, in general, I am wondering if it is good to keep turning it on and off, on and off...

Hi,

I have always turned my CGP-1000 off and unplugged it when I am done using it. In Florida we have alot of storms with lightning. I have a surge protector but feel it is safer to turn it off and unplug it. During the summer we have power surges and you don't know when it will happen. We have been without power for several hours sometimes. We have known of people in this area with their TV plugged into a surge protector when lightning hit they still lost their TV.

I do not use mine when it is storming. But still feel safer haveing it plugged into a surge protector in case I am using it and we would get a power surge.

I am not an expert on this. We have hurricane seminars here and they recommend using surge protectors. But, I don't know if it is bad for the clavinova to be turned off and on alot.
