Hello

Today I own a CVP105 Clavinova.
I was looking to buy a new digital piano and I my choice went to a CVP208.
Untill the day I played the real thing ... I was very dissapointed about the very light touch of the keyboard compared to my older CVP105 where the touch of the keyboard is more close (read heavier) to a real piano. Does anyone else experienced the same feeling that i had? or am I completely wrong?
What about the natural keyboard on the CVP900. Is the touch on this keyboard heavier and more close to a real piano then the actual keyboards on the new CVP2xx serie.
I am not talking about the sounds. About that there is no discussion ... it leaves my CVP105 far behind.
Please can anyone give me some good advice that tried out the different models.

Greetings
Kurt

Keyboard touch is a religious issue. I have a CVP900 with the "natural" keyboard and like it better than anything else I've tried, but others have totally opposite opinions. The natural touch keyboard is very different from other Yamaha keyboards - wooden keys and a different hammer simulation mechanism - but whether it's better for you is something you have to judge for yourself.

Hi Jim,

yes I understand that ... not everyone has the same taste .. thanks God :-)
But my question was, is the touch of the natural keyboard heavier then the ones used in the new CVP 200 series?
Can you confirm that Jim

I don't remember it being noticeably heavier. The feel is quite different, however. This is the same keyboard as on the CLP990 and maybe other new models - maybe you can find one of those. to try
