Well, after much, much research, I finally pulled the trigger and puchased a new 405. I love it, but here is one thing that I'm a little concerned about and that's the grand piano sound. I own a Yamaha S90es and the "Full Grand" imo sample sounds better than any of the 405 piano sounds. Now I'm going to have it Monday and mess with the sound edits to get it sounding better. I'm am talking headphone sound, not speaker sound. I play 90% from my headphones and want to customize the piano sounds to sound as good as my S90es.... So, if using headphones, would the sound on the 405 or the 407 sound better. I'm aware the 407 speakers are much better, but is the sound better with headphones and if so, then why? Are they different samples.

Any advice is appreciated.

Hi!

No, they all have the same samples. The higher models have more voices enabled, but GP1 on one is the exact same as another model.

Ignore earlier post about iAFC. Even if you have iAFC, it will be turned off when you use headphones. You can tweak your piano sound using the DSP adjustments and reverb.

I find it difficult to believe that the S90es sounds better than the CVP.
