Ok I've added a small PC executable the the files section (not sure how long it will take to get listed).

Last week my daugher was given a piece to practice which involved quietly holding down some keys and then playing other notes.

She was very upset when nothing happened on my lowly 205.

I tried to do something with Harmony, but didn't manage to do anything very usefull.

In the end I wrote a quick and dirty program for the pc which, using Midi kept track of the keys that were held down and then just replayed the ones that it thinks should resonate when a new key is pressed.

It probably sounds nothing like the real thing (I havn't been able to check) and I'm not even entirely sure if I have the right notes resonaiting... But at least something happens and it kept my daugher happy. Its also the first program I have written for midi so it may have some problems.

Anyway if you want to give it a go and have a pc with some midi leads feel free to download it (once its there... actually you can do it directly http://homepage.ntlworld.com/steve.d.howard/stringresonance/StringResonance.exe

And feel free to throw any constructive critisism this way.

have fun
