Hello All,

We have just purchased this keyboard. Our home is now filled with beautiful music. (My wife plays - I listen).

On the geeky front.....
I find that the unit reads my USB flash disk, but treats my PC with utter disdain. I have downloaded bit & pieces from the Yamaha site, but unless I download to the flash disk, I cannot "see" it on the keyboard. My PC runs Windows 7.
Any assistance will be appreciated.
Many thanks
Barry

Hi,

There are 2 types of usb connections in music-land.

usb to device and usb to host

Sometimes switchable on 1 port or 2 different ports,

Look in the manual what usb support the dxg offers

Either way if it is a "usb to host" you can connect it to the pc,, you'll need drivers for it to show up in dedicated or music software (DAW)

If not, the usb is for devices only ... than the midi cables are the way to connect to a pc
A midi interface + drivers are needed than

Kind regards
Eric
